Two-story mock-up test for Kossman Development Co.

- for Omega Corporate Center, tested by Farabaugh Engineering and Testing Inc. Turtle Creek, PA, 22 Feb. 1999

o ASTM E283 Air Test :

 TingWall™ performance at 6.24 psf: 0.008 cfm/sqft - < 14% of allowable

o TingWallTM performance at 12 psf :

 0.01 cfm/sqft - Significantly outperformed industry standards

o ASTM E331 Water Penetration Test :

Test pressure emulates the effects of high wind and water volume equivalent to 8 inches per hour rainfall.

o Test Pressure required :

20% of positive design wind load with minimum 6.24psf and maximum of 12 psf,
 duration 15 minutes.
 (Omega's positive design wind load = 20 psf; 20% = 4 psf, test uses 6.24 psf)

o TingWallTM performance : NO LEAKAGE

o Beyond AAMA Guide

o Additional 15 minutes at 20psf,
which is equivalent to 100 psf design wind load or 198 mph wind
 (far beyond test requirements)

 - NO LEAKAGE

o Intentional creation of imperfect seals, additional 15 min-utes at 20 psf : NO LEAKAGE

o Repeat tests during 1999 at Farabaugh Engineering and Testing Inc.

o ASTM E330 Structural Load Test

o Test pressure 40psf positive and 40psf negative

 - 3/7, 3/25, 3/31, 4/19, 6/22, 7/1, 7/16, 7/21: No visual permanent deformations of panel

o Structural Seismic Test :
 side sway = L/100 for three cycles, repeated 3/25, 3/31, 4/19, 6/22, 7/1, 7/16, 7/21:
No measur-able displacement and no leakage when water test repeated

o ASTM E331 Water Penetration Test with intentional cre-ation of imperfect seal

 - 12psf for 15 minutes: 3/7, 3/25, 3/31, 7/1, 7/16, 7/21;
  15.7psf for 15 minutes on 4/19, and 12 psf for 25minutes 6/22. NO LEAKAGE
